With Father's Day just around the corner, we're dishing up dinner ideas for the man of the hour (and superhero) - Dad!
Whether he does the grilling or the family is grilling up something delicious for him, we have some great recipe ideas for you.
If you have younger children, Grilled Lemon and Herb Salmon Packets are a great thing for them to help put together for Dad. They can pile the ingredients into the foil packets and get them ready for the grill. Salmon with rice, thin carrots slices, seasonings, fresh chives and lemon all cooked up on the grill in foil packets for easy cooking and clean-up.
Does Dad enjoy ribs? Slow Roasted Baby Back BBQ Ribs is an easy recipe to dish up for him. Cook these up slow for a couple of hours in the oven (at only 225 degrees, so it won't heat up the house) and then put on the grill for a few minutes before serving.
If you want to make your own BBQ sauce to go with it, here's a great video and BBQ sauce recipe from Chef Tips.
Thinking about some grilled steak and shrimp for Dad? That's super easy, too, with the Ultimate Grilled Steak recipe; allow time to marinade the steak for at least 30 minutes (a couple of hours is even better). Throw it on the grill, and it's ready to eat in about 15 minutes (depending on how well done Dad likes it).
Toss some shrimp on skewers and throw them on the grill for the last few minutes, too, for a superhero dinner of steak and shrimp. It's best to use fresh shrimp (peeled - except for the part at the tail - and deveined). Skewer them and brush with a little melted butter, sprinkle with salt and pepper (and a little garlic powder or cayenne pepper, if you desire); grill for 2-3 minutes on each side until outsides are pink (not too long, so they don't get tough). Voila! Delicious and easy shrimp recipe.
Grilled Chicken Tacos also make a delicious meal ready to serve straight off the grill with some tortillas, pepper jack cheese and a squeeze of lime.
