Ziti & Beef Casserole

Ingredients:

  1. 12 ounces - pasta ziti or penne
  2. 1 pounds - ground beef or ground turkey
  3. 24 ounces - pasta sauce
  4. 2 - large eggs beaten
  5. 15 ounces - ricotta cheese
  6. 2 1/2 cups - shredded mozzarella cheese
  7. 1/2 cups - grated parmesan cheese
  8. 2 - large onions chopped
  9. 14 1/2 ounces - diced onions with chilis for spice

Directions:

1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
2. In large pot boil water then cook pasta over medium heat for 8-10. Drain.
3. Chop onions then add onions and meat to large skillet. Cook until meat is no longer pink and onions are browned. Stir in diced tomatoes and spaghetti sauce.
4. In a large bowl, combine eggs, ricotta cheese, parmesan cheese and 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese. Add drained pasta to mixture and stir until blended.
5. Spoon 1/3 of meat sauce into greased 13x9" baking dish; top with half of pasta mixture. Repeat layers then top with sauce.
6. Cover and bake for 40 minutes. Uncover then sprinkle remaining mozzarella cheese on top. Bake uncovered another 5-10 minutes or until cheese is melted.
