Ingredients:

  1. 1 pounds - lean ground beef or turkey
  2. 1 - large onion chopped
  3. 1 cans - beef or chicken broth 14 oz.
  4. 1 cans - diced tomatoes undrained, 14 oz.
  5. 1 1/2 cups - water
  6. 1/2 cups - carrots diced
  7. 1/2 cups - celery diced
  8. 1/2 cups - frozen or fresh green beans
  9. 1 cups - cubed potatoes
  10. 1 tablespoons - minced fresh parsley or 1 tsp dried parsley flakes
  11. 1/2 teaspoons - dried basil
  12. 1/4 teaspoons - dried thyme
  13. - salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

In a skillet, cook beef and onions over medium heat until the meat is no longer pink; drain.

Transfer to a 5 qt. slow cooker. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well. Cover and cook on high for 8 hours or until heated through.
