Whole Wheat Banana Bread

Ingredients:

  1. 1/2 cups - butter (1/2 cup = 1/4 lb.)
  2. 2/3 cups - honey
  3. 2 - eggs slightly beaten
  4. 1 cups - mashed bananas (2 large or 3 small bananas)
  5. 2 cups - whole wheat flour
  6. 1/2 teaspoons - salt
  7. 1 teaspoons - baking soda
  8. 1/2 cups - chopped walnuts

Directions:

Melt butter and blend in honey. Mix in beaten eggs and mashed bananas, blending until smooth.

Blend flour well with salt and baking soda. Add dry ingredients to first mixture. Stir in nuts.

Turn into greased 9-by-5-inch loaf pan. Bake in a moderately slow oven (325 degrees F) for 1 hour and 15 or 20 minutes (until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean).
