Whiskey Pretzels

Ingredients:

  1. 16 ounces - pretzel sticks
  2. 1/2 cups - butter
  3. 3 tablespoons - whiskey
  4. 2 tablespoons - brown sugar
  5. 1 teaspoons - garlic powder
  6. 1/2 teaspoons - cayenne pepper or to taste

Directions:

Preheat oven to 250ºF.

Mix butter, whiskey, brown sugar, garlic and cayenne in a saucepan. Cook over low heat until melted.

Spread pretzels on a baking sheet and pour butter mixture over pretzels. Toss to coat. Bake 10 minutes. Stir mixture and bake another 10 minutes.

Allow to cool and enjoy!

Down memory lane: My golf friend and partner Sandy introduced me to these one summer after a golf tournament that we had not shown well in. The pretzels were the ultimate consolation prize. I brought them to an In-Town Quilting Retreat as a snack. Many asked for the recipe. For those of you who were not there, here is your chance to enjoy them. Makes a great hostess gift as well!
