Whiskey Apple Cider Punch

Ingredients:

  1. 1 cups - frozen cranberries thawed
  2. 1/4 cups - packed light brown sugar
  3. 1/4 cups - water
  4. 3 cups - bourbon
  5. 1 1/2 cups - fresh lemon juice about 14 lemons
  6. 3/4 cups - honey
  7. 1/4 cups - water
  8. 1 bottles - sparkling apple cider (24 oz.) chilled
  9. - Granny smith apple slices optional, for garnish

Directions:

Combine cranberries, brown sugar and 1/4 cup of water in food processor; process until berries are roughly chopped and sugar is dissolved, about 30-45 seconds. Transfer to a large bowl.

Add bourbon, lemon juice, honey and other 1/4 cup of water, stirring until well combined. Pour mixture through a fine wire mesh strainer into a large pitcher, discarding solids. Chill at least 1 hour or up to 8 hours.

Just before serving, gently stir in chilled sparkling apple cider.

Pour into glasses, and garnish with apple slices, if desired.
