  • Brief Description

My great-grandmother's recipe, brought over from Wales. They became a Christmas cookie in our home, but pair well with tea any time of year

  • Main Ingredient

    Nutmeg

  • Category:  Cookies and Brownies

  • Cuisine:  British

  • Notes:

-Nutmeg is the main flavor in these cookies, it's worth buying whole nutmeg and grating it yourself. -Lard is what my great-grandma used, but my family has used butter for years. I've made it both ways, and lard really does make a more delicate cookie.
