Yes jelly. Try different preserves or jams with different meats. Peach, apricot, and pineapple go great with pork for example. I also use white wine with pork. This is a great base for you to make it your own. Add or remove seasonings as you see fit.

Ingredients:
- 1/2 cups - soy sauce
- 1/4 cups - EVOO
- 1/2 cups - red wine
- 3 1/8 tablespoons - balsamic vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoons - worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 teaspoons - liquid smoke
- 1/8 cups - grape jelly
- 2 tablespoons - minced garlic
- 1 teaspoons - onion powder
- 4 - bay leaves
- 1/4 teaspoons - no salt meat tenderizer
- 1/4 teaspoons - chipotle pepper
- 1/4 teaspoons - rosemary
Directions:
Combine all wet ingredients and bay leaves in microwave safe bowl. Place in microwave on high power for 3 minutes. Add grape jelly and stir until dissolved. Add remainder of ingredients and 2-3 isce cubes to cool. Stir and pout into gallon zip lock bag. Add meat and marinade at least 2-3 hours.
