Ugly Duckling Pudding Cake

Ingredients:

  1. 1 packages - yellow cake mix
  2. 1 packages - lemon flavor instant pudding
  3. 1 cans - 16 oz. fruit cocktail including syrup
  4. 1 cups - coconut
  5. 4 - eggs
  6. 1/4 cups - oil
  7. 1/2 cups - brown sugar
  8. 1/2 cups - chopped nuts
  9. 1/2 cups - margarine
  10. 1/2 cups - sugar
  11. 1/2 cups - evaporated milk
  12. 1 1/3 cups - coconut

Directions:

For Cake:

Combine cake mix, pudding mix, fruit cocktail, coconut, eggs and oil. Mix well.

Pour into 9-by-13-inch baking pan. Combine brown sugar with chopped nuts and sprinkle over top.

Bake at 325 degrees F for 45 minutes. Let cool.

For Glaze:

In a saucepan bring margarine, sugar, and evaporated milk to a boil; boil for 2 minutes. Stir in coconut.

Cut cake into serving pieces and put on plates; pour glaze over.
