  • Notes:

We eat this with tortilla chips. Colton loves it with tostitos scoops. If you add to much taco seasoning and the food gets to dry and gloopy you can save it by adding more salsa or tomato sauce. If you use tomato sauce in place of salsa be sure to let it simmer longer-- if not it will taste like can (In my experience). Also good on a wrap or over a salad or on its own. I lived on this when I moved into my first apartment. I used to scoop it on a chip and pour hot sauce onto each individual bite (valentinos) and now apparently I am to old for spicy food.

Number of Servings:

Ingredients:

  1. 1 pounds - Ground Turkey
  2. 1 cans - Black Beans
  3. 1 packages - Taco Seasoning
  4. pinchs - Cumin I use a bunch. But you do you.

Directions:

1. Fry ground turkey until cooked through and drain liquid from black beans
2. Lower heat to low-med and add can of black beans, salsa, and taco seasoning. Don't use whole packet of taco seasoning. Start with a quarter and add more to taste. Add cumin to taste-- optional
Note: I don't have an exact amount for the salsa- add as much or as little as you would like. Be mindful of the sodium content in your salsa.
Note #2: Chili seasoning works in a pinch if you don't have taco seasoning, but I prefer taco seasoning.
Note #3: Tomato sauce works in a pinch if you don't have salsa but I prefer salsa.
