Tuna Chow Mein

Ingredients:

  1. 1 - medium sized onion
  2. 1/4 cups - green pepper cut into strips
  3. 1 1/2 cups - sliced celery
  4. 1/4 cups - butter
  5. 1 cups - hot water
  6. 1/4 teaspoons - salt
  7. 1 cans - tuna broken into large pieces
  8. 1 cans - chow mein vegetables (No. 2 can) drained
  9. 1 teaspoons - cold water
  10. 1 1/2 tablespoons - corn starch
  11. 2 tablespoons - soy sauce
  12. 1/4 teaspoons - sugar
  13. - Chinese fried noodles or cooked rice for serving with

Directions:

Quarter and separate the sections of the onion. Cook onion, green pepper strips, and sliced celery in butter for 3 minutes.

Add hot water and salt and cook for 5 minutes.

Add tuna and chow mein vegetables; heat thoroughly.

Combine the cold water, corn starch, soy sauce, and sugar. Stir into mixture, and cook 1 minute longer.

Serve over Chinese fried noodles or rice.
