Number of Servings:
Ingredients:
- 1 boxes - white cake mix
- 3 cups - half and half
- 1 cans - sweetened condensed milk
- 1 1/2 cups - heavy whipping cream
- 3/4 cups - sugar
- 1 teaspoons - vanilla
- - cajeta (caramelized milk) if desired
Directions:
1. Prepare white cake mix in a 9 x 13 pan according to instructions. Allow to cool completely. Pierce the top of cake with a fork in several places.
2. Combine the half n half and sweetened condensed milk and pour this over the top of the cooled cake. Cover the cake and refrigerate for several hours or overnight, until most of the milk has soaked into the cake.
You can then decide whether to leave any extra milk in the cake or remove it. We decided to just leave the small amount of extra milk in the cake, instead of trying to pour it off.
3. Combine heavy whipping cream, sugar and vanilla in a medium bowl and whip until thick. Spread this over the top of the cake.
4. Top with warm caramelized milk or just enjoy as is!
