Sweet Spiced Pecans

Ingredients:

  1. 8 cups - pecan halves
  2. 2 - egg whites unbeaten
  3. 2 1/2 tablespoons - vanilla extract or a little more, to taste
  4. 1 tablespoons - water
  5. 3 1/2 teaspoons - cinnamon or a little more, to taste
  6. 1/2 teaspoons - salt
  7. 1 cups - white sugar
  8. 1 teaspoons - ground ginger
  9. 1 teaspoons - ground allspice
  10. 1 teaspoons - ground nutmeg
  11. 1/2 teaspoons - ground cloves

Directions:

In a large bowl, combine dry ingredients and stir until well blended.

In a separate bowl, combine egg whites, water and vanilla; add to dry ingredients, and stir until well blended.

Add pecans, stirring until all are coated.

Spray cookie sheets with cooking spray, spread the pecans on 2 pans. Bake at 275 degrees F for 60 minutes, testing and stirring every 20 minutes.

Do not over bake.
