Sweet Cooked Apples

Ingredients:

  1. 3 pounds - granny smith or other cooking apple
  2. 2 tablespoons - butter
  3. 1/4 cups - sugar
  4. 1/4 cups - brown sugar
  5. 1/2 cups - apple cider or apple juice
  6. 1 teaspoons - ground cinnamon
  7. 1/4 teaspoons - ground nutmeg

Directions:

Peel, core and slice apples into wedges. Heat butter, sugar and cider in saucepan until sugar dissolves. Add the apples and sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg. Simmer gently for 10-15 minutes or until apples just get tender. Serve warm.
