Ingredients:
- 1 pounds - frankfurters
- 1 - onion
- 1 - green pepper
- 2 - tomatoes
- 4 tablespoons - butter, margarine or shortening
- 1 cans - pineapple chunks (90z)
- 2 tablespoons - cornstarch
- 1/4 cups - water
- 1/4 cups - white wine or vermouth
- 2 tablespoons - vinegar
- 2 cups - cooked rice
- 1 pounds - frankfurters
- 1 - onion
- 1 - green pepper
- 2 - tomatoes
- 4 tablespoons - butter, margarine or shortening
- 1 cans - pineapple chunks (90z)
- 2 tablespoons - cornstarch
- 1/4 cups - water
- 1/4 cups - white wine or vermouth
- 2 tablespoons - vinegar
- 2 cups - cooked rice
Directions:
1. Cook frankfurters in pieces about 2 inches long and cook slowly in boiling, salted water for about 5-8 minutes.
2. Chop onion coarsely; cut green pepper in long thin strips; quarter the tomatoes.
3. Now heat fat in a skillet, add onion, green pepper, tomatoes, pineapple, and pineapple syrup.
4. Mix cornstarch with water smoothly, add to mixture in skillet, flavour with wine and vinegar and stir in drained frankfurter pieces.
5. Cook slowly, stirring frequently for about 5 minutes. Taste to see if salt is needed.
6. Server over hot rice to 4.
