Sunrise Breakfast Casserole

Ingredients:

  1. 2 packages - 12 oz. Johnsonville Breakfast Sausage Links
  2. 9 - eggs
  3. 3 cups - milk
  4. 1 1/2 teaspoons - ground mustard
  5. 1 teaspoons - salt
  6. 1/2 teaspoons - pepper
  7. 1 packages - 30 oz. Ore-Ida frozen shredded hash browns thawed
  8. 2 cups - shredded 4-cheese Mexican blend cheese
  9. 1/2 cups - sliced red bell pepper
  10. 1/3 cups - thinly sliced green onions
  11. - salsa or picante sauce optional

Directions:

Arrange sausages on an ungreased 15" by 10" by 1" baking pan. Bake at 375° F for 15 to 20 minutes, turning links once or until sausage is cooked through and lightly browned; drain. Allow to cool slightly. Slice the sausage into 1/4-inch coins.

In a large bowl, whisk eggs, milk and seasonings. Add sausage, hash browns, cheese, bell pepper and onions.

Pour into a greased 13-by-9-by-2-inch baking dish. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

Remove from refrigerator 30 minutes before baking. Bake, uncovered at 350° F for 65-70 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.

Let stand 10 minutes before serving. Serve with salsa or picante sauce, if desired.
