Sugar Cookies

Ingredients:

  1. 2 3/4 cups - All-purpose flour
  2. 1 teaspoons - Baking powder
  3. 1/2 teaspoons - Salt
  4. 3/4 cups - Butter/Margarine Softened
  5. 1 cups - Sugar
  6. 2 - Eggs
  7. 1 teaspoons - Vanilla
  8. 1 bags - Powdered Sugar (optional)
  9. 1 containers - Colored Sugar Sprinkles (optional)

Directions:

1. Mix together into a bowl and reserve... 2 3/4c.all purpose flour, 1tsp. baking powder and 1/2tsp salt.
2. Put 3/4c. soft butter or margarine in large bowl of electric mixer. Add 1c. sugar, 2 eggs, 1tsp. vanilla. Beat with mixer until light and fluffy.
3. Beat in flour mixture until smooth. Chill 1 hour.
4. Roll out a small amount of dough, cut with cookie cutters. Place on greased cookie sheet.
5. Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees F and bake 8-10 minutes.
6. Make frosting for the cookies by mixing powdered sugar and water to desired consistancy, and frost the cookies. Or use store-bought frosting. Or don't frost.
7. Sprinkle with colored sugar or put colored sugar on before baking if you wish.
