Ingredients:

  1. 2 cups - sugar
  2. 1 cups - shortening
  3. 2 - eggs
  4. 1 cups - buttermilk
  5. 1/4 teaspoons - salt
  6. - dash of nutmeg
  7. 2 teaspoons - vanilla
  8. 1 teaspoons - baking soda
  9. 1 teaspoons - baking powder
  10. 4 cups - flour
  11. - raisins or nuts optional, if desired
  12. 2 cups - sugar
  13. 1 cups - shortening
  14. 2 - eggs
  15. 1 cups - buttermilk
  16. 1/4 teaspoons - salt
  17. - dash of nutmeg
  18. 2 teaspoons - vanilla
  19. 1 teaspoons - baking soda
  20. 1 teaspoons - baking powder
  21. 4 cups - flour
  22. - raisins or nuts optional, if desired

Directions:

Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs and vanilla and buttermilk.

Add alternately with dry ingredients.

Drop by tablespoon. Bake at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes.
