Brief Description
Great breakfast that really fills you up. Steel cut oats do take about 15 to 20 minutes to cook on the stove, but I like to make them on the weekend and then freeze in a silicone muffin tray. Then I heat the individual oatmeal cups in the microwave throughout the week for a quick breakfast!

Number of Servings:
Ingredients:
- 4 1/2 cups - water bring to boil
- 2 cups - steel cut oats
- 1/4 cups - brown sugar optional
- 1 packages - blueberries
- 1 jars - peanut butter
- 4 1/2 cups - water bring to boil
- 2 cups - steel cut oats
- 1/4 cups - brown sugar optional
- 1 packages - blueberries
- 1 jars - peanut butter
Directions:
1) Bring water to boil
2) Then add steel cut oats stirring every few minutes until oats start to thicken. Be sure to scrape bottom as you stir to prevent sticking. Total cook time is 15 to 20 minutes. If it does not thicken you can remove some of the water.
3) Remove from heat and add a small amount of brown sugar if you like a little extra sweetener.
4) Scoop oats into silicone muffin tray. I use silicone tray because it does not stick. My muffin tray has 12 slots. Store in freezer.
5) In morning I usually have 2 oatmeal cups as a serving. Heat the oatmeal cups in the microwave for 2 minutes.
6) Stir in a tablespoon or so of peanut butter and mix. I also like to top the oatmeal with fresh bluberries
