Ingredients:

  1. 1 1/2 pounds - Beef Round Steak, tenderized, boneless
  2. 1 1/2 tablespoons - Vegetable Oil (I use Canola Oil)
  3. 2 whole - Onions, Large Cut into 1/2
  4. 1 cans - Sliced Mushrooms, 4 oz can Drain, reserve liquid
  5. 1 cans - Cream of Mushroom Soup 10-3/4 oz can
  6. 1 1/2 teaspoons - Dry Sherry (I usually omit)
  7. 1 1/2 teaspoons - Garlic Salt
  8. 3 cups - Hot Cooked Rice

Directions:

Cut steak into thin strips. In a large skillet (oven proof, if desired) brown mean in oil, using high heat. Add onions. Saute until tender crisp. Blend soup, sherry, liquid from mushrooms and garlic salt. Pour over steak. Add mushrooms. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 1 hour or until steak is tender (or cover and bake at 350 degrees). Serve over bed of fluffy rice.

Makes 6 servings.
