Number of Servings:
Ingredients:
- 1 pounds - ground beef, turkey or chicken
- 1 tablespoons - cooking fat of your choice
- 1 cups - diced acorn squash
- 1/2 cups - sliced mushrooms
- 1/2 cups - chopped onion
- 1 cloves - garlic chopped
- 1 tablespoons - chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoons - cumin
Directions:
In a medium to large pot, brown the meat in the cooking fat, breaking the meat up as you stir.
Add all of the remaining ingredients and stir well. Reduce the heat and simmer for 2 hours or more. Continue to stir periodically.
You may need to add water occasionally as the chili simmers, but you want it to be somewhat thick at the end.
