Spinach Green Bean Casserole

Ingredients:

  1. 10 ounces - Frozen Chopped Spinach
  2. 9 ounces - Frozen French-Style Green Beans
  3. 3/4 cups - Onion
  4. 1 cloves - Garlic
  5. 1 tablespoons - Margarine or Butter
  6. 1 tablespoons - All Purpose Flour
  7. 1/8 teaspoons - Ground Nutmeg
  8. 3/4 cups - Milk
  9. 1 1/2 ounces - Cream Cheese
  10. 1/2 cups - Soft Bread Crumbs
  11. 2 tablespoons - Parmesan Cheese
  12. 1 tablespoons - Margarine or Butter

Directions:

Thaw spinach and beans; drain well. Cook onion and garlic in 1 tablespoon margarine until tender. Stir in flour, nutmeg, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and dash pepper. Add milk. Cook and stir until bubbly. Stir in cream cheese until melted. Stir in spinach and beans. Transfer to a 1-quart casserole. Bake, covered, in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes; stir.

Meanwhile, combine bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, and the melted margarine. Sprinkle crumbs over casserole. Bake, uncovered, 10-15 minutes more or until heated through.
