Spicy Shortbread Rounds

Ingredients:

  1. 2 tablespoons - paprika
  2. 2 1/2 teaspoons - coarse salt
  3. 1 1/8 teaspoons - cayenne
  4. 7 tablespoons - unsalted butter softened
  5. 2 tablespoons - sugar
  6. 1 cups - all purpose flour
  7. 1 teaspoons - curry powder
  8. 1/2 teaspoons - ground cumin
  9. 2 tablespoons - paprika
  10. 2 1/2 teaspoons - coarse salt
  11. 1 1/8 teaspoons - cayenne
  12. 7 tablespoons - unsalted butter softened
  13. 2 tablespoons - sugar
  14. 1 cups - all purpose flour
  15. 1 teaspoons - curry powder
  16. 1/2 teaspoons - ground cumin

Directions:

1. Set aside all paprika, 2 tsp salt and 1 tsp cayenne.
2. Mix butter and sugar. Mix together dry ingredients, salt and leftover cayenne. Combine with butter/sugar.
3. Knead on a floured surface 8-10 times. Divide into 4 pieces. Roll with wax paper into 4 logs. Sprinkle with spices you set aside at beginning. Cool in the fridge for 20 minutes.
4. Divide into 1/2" rounds. Bake for 15 minutes at 350° on ungreased cookie sheet.
5. Loosen but let cool on sheet.
