- 1 envelopes - Italian dry salad dressing mix
- 1/2 teaspoons - crushed red pepper
- 2 cloves - garlic, minced
- 1 pounds - lean ground beef

- 1/4 cups - canned crushed pineapple well drained
- 1/4 cups - canned diced green chile peppers well drained
- 1/4 cups - shredded Mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cups - bottled Italian salad dressing
- 1/2 cups - pineapple or plum preserves
- 1/2 cups - bottled chili sauce
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a large bowl combine egg, bread crumbs, dry salad dressing mix, crushed red pepper, and garlic. Add ground beef, Italian sausage, pineapple, chile peppers, and mozzarella cheese; mix well. Shape mixture into 48 meatballs.
Place meatballs in a 15x10x1-inch baking pan, arranged in a single layer. Bake, uncovered, for 20 minutes; drain well. Transfer meatballs to a 3-1/2 or 4-quart slow cooker.
For sauce, in a medium bowl combine bottled salad dressing, pineapple preserves, and chili sauce. Pour over meatballs in cooker. Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 3-4 hours or on high-heat setting for 1-1/2 to 2 hours.
Stir gently before serving. Serve meatballs with wooden toothpicks.
