Spiced Orange Pecans

Ingredients:

  1. 2 - egg whites lightly beaten
  2. 3 tablespoons - orange juice
  3. 2 cups - pecan halves
  4. 1 1/2 cups - confectioners' sugar
  5. 2 tablespoons - cornstarch
  6. 2 tablespoons - grated orange peel
  7. 1 teaspoons - ground cinnamon
  8. 3/4 teaspoons - ground cloves
  9. 1/4 teaspoons - ground allspice
  10. 1/8 teaspoons - salt

Directions:

1. In a large bowl, combine the egg whites and orange juice. Add pecans and toss to coat; drain.

2. In another large bowl, combine the remaining ingredients. Add pecans and toss to coat.

3. Spread in a single layer in a greased 15-in x 10-in x 1-in baking pan. Bake at 250 degrees F for 30-35 minutes or until dry and lightly browned. Cool completely. Store in an airtight container.

Makes about 5 cups.
