Sour Cream Orange Cake

Ingredients:

  1. 1/2 cups - butter (or margarine)
  2. 1 cups - sugar
  3. 2 - eggs
  4. 1 - orange
  5. 1 cups - sour cream
  6. 1 teaspoons - baking soda
  7. 1/2 teaspoons - salt
  8. 1 teaspoons - vanilla
  9. 2 1/2 cups - flour
  10. 1/2 cups - butter (or margarine)
  11. 1 cups - sugar
  12. 2 - eggs
  13. 1 - orange
  14. 1 cups - sour cream
  15. 1 teaspoons - baking soda
  16. 1/2 teaspoons - salt
  17. 1 teaspoons - vanilla
  18. 2 1/2 cups - flour

Directions:

1. Cream the butter and sugar. Add the eggs and beat well.
2. Chop the orange and put the skin and pulp, but no seeds, in a processor or put through a grinder. Add to butter and sugar.
3. Add sour cream, baking soda, salt and vanilla.
4. Add the flour in 3 lots.
5. Bake in an 8" x 8" pan at 350° for 1 hour or until done.
