Number of Servings:
Ingredients:
- 2 cups - powdered non-fat dry milk
- 3/4 cups - cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons - dried onion or onion powder
- 2 tubs - Italian Seasoning optional
Directions:
Combine and mix well. The dry mix will make the equivalent of 9 cans of cream soup.
For 1 can: combine 1/3 cup dry mix with 1 1/4 cups of water or chicken broth. Whisk until well blended. Cook and stir on stove top until thickened.
As a base, this is very plain. You add ingredients and adjust seasonings according to what type of creamed soup you want. For example, cream of chicken - mix with chicken broth, not water, add some salt. For cream of mushroom, add finely chopped mushrooms, and so on. I alway add additional seasonings.
