  1. 1 1/2 - Mezcal such as Del Maguey Vida
  2. 1 - Maraschino Liqueur such as Luxardo
  3. 1 - Tamarind Infusion see below
  4. 1/2 - Fresh Lime Juice
  5. 3 - Seedless Tamarind Pulp broken into 3 or 4 chunks
  6. 12 - Water filtered or spring
  7. 4 1/2 - Sugar


Make the drink:
Shake ingredients with ice and strain into a glass.

Tamarind Infusion:
Combine tamarind and water in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat. Add sugar and stir to dissolve. Expect some tamarind pulp to release. Remove from heat. Let cool completely. Strain, gently pressing on solids to extract a little extra tartness. Makes about 10 ounces.
