Slow Cooker Red Beans and Rice Recipe

Ingredients:

  1. - (thinly sliced)
  2. 2 - (15oz) cans of Red Beans
  3. 1/2 - red onion, chopped
  4. 2 1/2 - cups of water
  5. 1 - Tbsp butter
  6. 1 - (15oz) can of diced tomatoes
  7. 1 - cup rice
  8. 1 - tsp cayenne pepper (If you don�t like spicy, make this 1/4Tsp)
  9. 1 - tsp ancho chili powder
  10. 1 - tsp white pepper
  11. 3 - Bay leaves

Directions:

Place all of your ingredients into the slow cooker and stir to mix everything well.  Allow to cook all day on low for 6 hours (if with rice), or up to 8 hours without rice.  Serve with cornbread and enjoy! (I like to take a whole piece and mix it up really well, YUM!)
