Skillet Cheeseburger Macaroni

Ingredients:

  1. 2 tablespoons - parsley chopped
  2. 1 tablespoons - olive oil
  3. 2 cups - elbow macaroni uncooked
  4. 1/2 cups - yellow onion chopped
  5. 1 pounds - ground beef
  6. 1/2 teaspoons - salt
  7. 1/2 teaspoons - pepper
  8. 1/2 teaspoons - dried oregano
  9. 4 cloves - garlic chopped
  10. 1 cups - crushed tomatoes
  11. 3/4 cups - whole milk
  12. 1 1/2 cups - shredded cheddar cheese

Directions:

Cook pasta according to package instructions (bringing salted water to a boil, placing pasta in pan and cooking for 10 minutes). Drain; set aside.

Meanwhile, in a large skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil and chopped onion. Cook until onion is tender.

Stir in beef; cook, breaking up into small pieces until browned. Add salt, pepper, oregano and garlic; continue cooking for 2 more minutes. Drain off excess fat.

Stir in tomatoes and milk, and bring to a simmer; let cook for 3-5 minutes. Fold in cooked pasta, shredded cheese and parsley.

Cover with lid; let cook for 3 minutes until cheese is melted. Serve immediately.
