Number of Servings:
Ingredients:
- 1 - red onion diced
- - olive oil
- 24 ounces - sirloin steak
- - salt
- - pepper
- - onion powder
- - garlic powder
- - paprika
- 1/4 cups - water
- 1 teaspoons - better than bouillon, beef
- 2 tablespoons - butter
- 1 2/3 tablespoons - balsamic glaze
Directions:
Heat a large drizzle of olive oil in large pan over med-high heat. Add onion and cook until browned and soft, 10-12 mins, stirring occasionally. (if onion starts to burn add a splash of water and lower heat to med) Season with salt and pepper. Remove from pan and set aside. Season steak with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Add to pan with a drizzle of olive oil and cook to desired doneness, 4-6 mins per side. Remove from pan and let rest on a plate. Reduce heat under pan used for steak to low and pour in 1/4c water, scraping up any browned bits on bottom. Stir in better than bouillon beef, balsamic glaze, onion, butter, salt and pepper. Remove from heat. Pour any juices released by steak into sauce in pan and stir to combine. Slice steak against the grain and spoon sauce over steak and serve.
