Shrimp and Artichoke Casserole

Ingredients:

  1. 6 1/2 tablespoons - butter divided
  2. 4 1/2 tablespoons - flour
  3. 3/4 cups - milk
  4. 3/4 cups - heavy cream
  5. 1/2 teaspoons - salt
  6. - pepper to taste
  7. 1 cans - 20 oz. artichoke hearts drained
  8. 1 pounds - cooked and cleaned shrimp
  9. 1 1/4 cups - sliced mushrooms
  10. 1/4 cups - sherry
  11. 1 tablespoons - Worcestershire sauce
  12. 1/4 cups - grated Parmesan cheese
  13. - paprika

Directions:

In a medium saucepan, melt 4-1/2 tablespoons of butter; with whisk, stir in flour. Add milk and cream and stir over heat until thickened.

Add salt and pepper, sherry, and Worcestershire sauce; set aside.

Meanwhile, in a small skillet saute mushrooms in 2 tablespoons butter.

In a greased baking dish, arrange artichoke hearts and shrimp. Spoon mushrooms over artichoke hearts and shrimp. Pour sauce over all.

Sprinkle with Parmesan and paprika. Bake at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes.
