Shepherd's Pie

Ingredients:

  1. 1 pounds - ground beef or ground turkey
  2. 1 packages - ground Italian sausage
  3. 8 - to 10 red potatoes depending on size, cooked and slightly mashed
  4. 1/2 cups - milk or more, enough to mash with potatoes
  5. 4 cloves - to 6 cloves garlic minced
  6. 1/2 sticks - butter
  7. 1 tablespoons - basil for mashed potatoes
  8. 1 bunches - parsley for mashed potatoes
  9. 1 bags - frozen peas and carrots mix
  10. 1 packages - mushrooms sliced and fresh
  11. 1 cups - chopped onions and peppers (I use frozen mix)
  12. 1 tablespoons - Worcestershire sauce
  13. 1 tablespoons - beef bouillon powder
  14. 1 teaspoons - Kitchen Bouquet
  15. - seasoning - cayenne, garlic powder, pepper, Tony's,etc.
  16. - shredded cheese for topping

Directions:

1. Saute garlic with onions and peppers mixture in olive oil; then add meat and seasonings and brown.

2. Add 1 cup of water and beef bouillon, Kitchen Bouquet, and Worcestershire sauce.

3. Simmer until about half the liquid is absorbed and then add peas and carrots mixture and transfer to a baking dish or mini pie dishes.

4. Spread mashed potato mixture on top of meat mixture.

5. Store for later baking or bake immediately with cheese mixture until cheese is golden. Let cool, then serve.
