Ingredients:
- 1 packages - Frozen peas
- 4 stalks - celery chopped
- 3 - carrots chopped
- 1 1/3 pounds - Ground beef or turkey
- 1 teaspoons - ground thyme
- 1 cups - sour cream
- 1 - red bell pepper, small chopped
- 3 - potatoes, large thin sliced
- 1 - onion, medium chopped
- 1 tablespoons - Smoked paprika 1 part cumin/2 part paprika
- 1 boxes - Chicken stock
- 2 tablespoons - flour
- 1 - egg
- - Chives
- - EVOO
- 3 slices - bacon
Directions:
Preheat broiler. Put oil in a pan to heat and cut up bacon and brown.
Chop all your veggies.
When bacon gets brown - add the turkey meat. Salt and pepper and 1 tablespoon of smoked paprika. Add 1 teaspoon of ground thyme.
Peel potatoes and cut into thin slices and put in water. Add salt and boil.
Add veggies to meat pan. Add salt and pepper for the vegetables. Add the diced pepper and heat.
Stir in 2 tablespoons of flour on meat and veggies. Add chicken stock for gravy and simmer.
Beat 1 egg and add a ladle of starch water from the potatoes. Drain the potatoes. Put in the egg and 1/2 cup of sour cream. Mash the potatoes and salt and pepper to taste.
Add remaining sour cream to meat mixture. Add 2 handfuls of peas.
Put mixture in a casserole dish and put the potatoes on top. Drag a fork through the potatoes.
Bake about 5 minutes until slightly browned. Top with chives and paprika.
