Sausage Pinwheels

Ingredients:

  1. 2 cups - flour
  2. 1/2 teaspoons - salt
  3. 2 teaspoons - baking powder
  4. 2 tablespoons - sugar
  5. 2 tablespoons - cornmeal
  6. 1/4 cups - Shortening
  7. 1/4 cups - milk
  8. 1 pounds - Sausage

Directions:

Blend shortening with dry ingredients, Add milk and mix well. Knead 1 minute on floured board; divide dough into 2 pieces and roll them thin. Spread 1/2 of the sausage on each 1/2 dough section. Roll up into, slice and put on a cooking sheet. Refrigerate for 1 hour or more. Bake at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
