Salted Peanut Bars

Ingredients:

  1. 1 1/2 cups - flour
  2. 1/2 cups - butter
  3. 3/4 cups - brown sugar
  4. 1/4 teaspoons - salt
  5. 1 1/2 tablespoons - butter
  6. 1 1/2 tablespoons - water
  7. 1/4 cups - light corn syrup
  8. 1 1/2 cups - red salted peanuts

Directions:

For crust - combine flour, butter, brown sugar and salt. Pat into a lightly buttered 9-x-12-inch baking pan.

Bake at 375 degrees F for 10 minutes.

Meantime, for topping, heat 1-1/2 tablespoons butter with water and light corn syrup until butter is melted. Add peanuts.

Pour over baked crust. Return to oven and bake for 8 more minutes.

Allow to cool before cutting.
