Sage-Rubbed Roasted Turkey

Ingredients:

  1. 12 pounds - turkey thawed
  2. 1 tablespoons - vegetable oil
  3. 2 tablespoons - rubbed sage
  4. 1 tablespoons - seasoned salt
  5. 2 teaspoons - paprika
  6. 1 1/2 teaspoons - garlic powder
  7. 1 teaspoons - ground black pepper

Directions:

Place turkey on rack in roasting pan. Brush with oil. Mix seasonings. Sprinkle 1 tbsp. of the seasoning inside turkey. Spread remaining seasoning over entire surface and under skin of turkey. Add 1/2 c. water to pan. Cover loosely with heavy duty foil.
Roast in preheated 325°F oven 1 hour. Remove foil. Roast 2 to 2-1/2 hrs longer or until internal temperature reaches 165°F, basting occasionally with pan juices. Remove turkey from oven. Let stand 20 mins before slicing. Reserve pan juices to make gravy.
