Rumballs

Ingredients:

  1. 1/2 pounds - vanilla wafers
  2. 2 tablespoons - cocoa powder
  3. 1/2 cups - light corn syrup
  4. 1 cups - confectioners' sugar
  5. 1 cups - finely chopped nuts
  6. 1/4 cups - rum
  7. - extra confectioners' sugar for rolling
  8. - pecan halves for pressing into each candy

Directions:

Roll wafers into fine crumbs. Mix in the sugar and cocoa powder.

Add nuts, syrup and rum. Stir until well blended and stiff.

Roll into balls. Roll in powdered sugar. Press a pecan into each candy.

Store with tight cover for 3 to 5 days.
