Ingredients:
- 1 - onion peeled, finely chopped
- 3 cloves - garlic peeled, finely chopped
- 1 - red chili deseeded, thinly sliced
- 1 teaspoons - ground cinnamon
- 1 3/4 pounds - extra lean ground beef
- 1 cups - grape tomatoes halved
- 1 cans - 14 oz. chopped tomatoes
- 2 3/4 cups - rutabaga peeled, cut in bite-size pieces
- 1 tablespoons - beef bouillon
- 8 tablespoons - finely chopped basil
- - salt and pepper
- - basil leaves to garnish
- - cooked rice or noodles for serving with
Directions:
Spray a large non-stick skillet with Pam cooking spray and place over medium heat. Add the onion, garlic, and red chili and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
Add the cinnamon and ground beef and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes longer; drain away any excess liquid. Stir in the tomatoes, rutabaga, bouillon, and chopped basil and bring to a boil.
Season well, cover tightly and cook over low heat for 20-25 minutes.
Garnish with basil leaves if desired. Serve with rice or noodles.
