Quick Cinnamon Raisin Bread

Ingredients:

  1. 1 - egg beaten
  2. 1 cups - buttermilk
  3. 1/4 cups - butter or margarine melted
  4. 2 1/2 cups - all-purpose flour
  5. 1/2 cups - sugar
  6. 1/2 cups - firmly packed brown sugar
  7. 1 tablespoons - cinnamon
  8. 2 1/2 teaspoons - baking powder
  9. 1/2 teaspoons - baking soda
  10. 1/4 teaspoons - salt
  11. 1 cups - raisins

Directions:

Heat oven to 350° F. Grease a 9-x-5-inch loaf pan.

Combine egg, buttermilk and butter; blend well. Set aside.

Combine flour, sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add egg mixture to dry mixture; stir just until dry ingredients are moistened.

Fold in raisins. Spoon batter into greased pan.

Bake for 45-55 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan for 10 minutes.

Remove from pan and cool on wire racks.
