Quick Caprese Pie

Ingredients:

  1. 1 packages - Ready made puff pastry
  2. 4 whole - Large tomatoes Quantity may vary based on the size of the tomatoes; slice thin
  3. 1/2 tablespoons - Salt Adjust quantity for size of pie, to taste, and note that you will season two layers of tomatoes and mozzarella.
  4. 1/4 tablespoons - Pepper Adjust quantity for size of pie, to taste, and note that you will season two layers of tomatoes and mozzarella.
  5. 1/2 tablespoons - Chopped basil Adjust quantity for size of pie, to taste, and note that you will season two layers of tomatoes and mozzarella.
  6. 4 packages - Bufala mozzarella Four or five large balls (based on size at purchase); sliced thin
  7. 1/2 tablespoons - Oregano Adjust quantity for size of pie, to taste, and note that you will season two layers of tomatoes and mozzarella.
  8. 20 drops - Olive oil Drizzle with olive oil. (Drizzle is not an option on this website so we used drops).
  9. 8 leaves - Fresh basil leaves

Directions:

Roll out a ready-made puff pastry into a round pizza pan (there are multiple store bought varieties of puff pastries available). A reminder that you will roll up the edges after adding the ingredients and before inserting into the oven.

Fill with a layer of thin sliced ​​tomatoes, add salt, pepper, oregano and basil.

Follow by a layer of mozzarella slices and then another layer of tomatoes, salt, oregano and basil.

Complete with a drizzle of olive oil, fold the edges inside and put in the oven for 30 minutes at 200 degrees.

Once ready garnish with fresh basil leaves.
