Number of Servings:
Ingredients:
- 1 cans - 8 oz. refrigerated crescent rolls
- 2 - Granny Smith apples peeled, cored, and quartered
- 1/8 teaspoons - ground cinnamon
- 1 cups - sugar
- 1 cups - fresh orange juice
- 1/2 cups - salted butter
- 1 teaspoons - vanilla extract
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350° F. Spray an 11-x-8-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.
2. Separate crescent rolls. Wrap each apple quarter with 1 crescent roll; place in prepared dish, seam side down. Sprinkle with cinnamon.
3. In a medium saucepan, bring sugar, orange juice and butter to a boil over medium-high heat. Remove from heat, stirring until sugar dissolves. Stir in vanilla. Carefully pour 1/4 cup hot sugar mixture into a bowl and set aside. Pour remaining hot sugar mixture over dumplings.
4. Bake until tops are golden brown, approximately 20 minutes. Baste with reserved hot sugar mixture twice during baking; baste again just before serving.
