    Some people in the family use 1/2 the spices recommended on the back of the pumpkin pack can. Others use all. Mary Hoover used to put the spices on the top so the pie remained a nice orange color instead of muted orange. In fact, I think she just used cinnamon and a thick layer of it on top. It is whatever is your preference.

Ingredients:

  1. 3/4 cups - Sugar
  2. 1 tablespoons - Flour
  3. 1 1/2 cups - Pumpkin
  4. 1 1/2 cups - Evaporated milk
  5. 1 - Egg
  6. 1/2 teaspoons - Salt
  7. - Cinnamon
  8. 1 - Unbaked pie shell
  9. 3/4 cups - Sugar
  10. 1 tablespoons - Flour
  11. 1 1/2 cups - Pumpkin
  12. 1 1/2 cups - Evaporated milk
  13. 1 - Egg
  14. 1/2 teaspoons - Salt
  15. - Cinnamon
  16. 1 - Unbaked pie shell

Directions:

Mix ingredients well. Put into a blender and blend until the pumpkin pieces are no longer visible. Pour into an unbaked pie shell and sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake at 375° for 15 minutes. Turn to 350° for additional 30-35 minutes.
