Pot Roast (Crock Pot)

Ingredients:

  1. 1 - Beef Chuck Roast
  2. 1 cups - Flour
  3. 1 tablespoons - Oil
  4. 2 tablespoons - Montreal Steak Seasoning
  5. 1 envelopes - Lipton's Onion Soup Mix You'll find this in a box in the soup aisle
  6. 1 cups - Water
  7. 2 - Carrots Optional

Directions:

Spread 1 cup of flour on a plate. Coat both sides of the roast in the flour. Heat oil in a large fry pan. Brown the roast on both sides (about 2 - 3 minutes per side to brown and a bit crispy). Season both sides of roast with Montreal Steak Seasoning.

Place roast in crock pot. Sprinkle one envelope of dried onion soup mix over the roast. Pour about 3/4 c. to 1 c. of water in the crock pot. Cook on low for 8 hours. You can add carrots about halfway through the cooking if you want to. I liked to serve with mashed potatoes.
