Pork Chops Assyrian

Ingredients:

  1. 4 - center cut pork chops
  2. 1 sticks - oleo for cooking
  3. 4 slices - onion
  4. 4 slices - tomato
  5. 1 - hollowed bell pepper stuffed with cooked rice
  6. 1 teaspoons - tomato paste
  7. - cinnamon for sprinkling over

Directions:

Season each pork chop with salt, pepper and cinnamon.

In a very hot skillet, melt stick of oleo and sear pork chops. Reserve drippings.

In dutch oven, place slices of onion, and slices of tomato topped with seared pork chops. Top with hollowed bell pepper stuffed with cooked rice (season with drippings from skillet).

Add tomato paste and sprinkle lightly with cinnamon.

Bake at 300 degrees F for 2 hours.
