Plum Cake with Lemon Glaze

Ingredients:

  1. 2 cups - sugar
  2. 1 cups - salad oil
  3. 3 - eggs
  4. 2 jars - baby food plums
  5. 1 teaspoons - vanilla
  6. 2 cups - sifted self-rising flour
  7. 1 teaspoons - ground cloves
  8. 1 teaspoons - ground cinnamon
  9. 1 cups - powdered sugar
  10. - juice from one lemon

Directions:

Beat sugar and oil together. Add eggs one at a time.

Add plums and vanilla, stirring well. Add flour, cloves and cinnamon.

Pour into a tube pan and bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees F for one hour.

For Glaze:
Heat sugar and lemon juice until sugar is dissolved. Pour over hot cake. Let cake cool in pan.
