Pickles bread and butter

Ingredients:

  1. 10 - cucumbers
  2. 8 c - vinegar
  3. 16 c - sugar
  4. 1 - onion
  5. 1 - bell pepper
  6. 6 tbl - salt
  7. 8 tsp - celery seed
  8. 8 tsp - mustard seed

Directions:

Mix sugar, vinegar, seeds, and salt in large pan. Cook until boiling. Set aside and let cool for an hour. Assemble cucumbers, onion and bell pepper and pit in 8 quart jars. When liquid is cool, pour over cucumber mixture. Usually best is set up over night. Will keep for months.
