Peppermint Bark Hot Chocolate

Ingredients:

  1. 1/2 cups - Sugar
  2. 1/4 cups - Baking cocoa
  3. - Dash of salt
  4. 1/2 cups - Hot water
  5. 4 cups - Milk
  6. 3/4 teaspoons - Vanilla extract
  7. 5 - Pieces peppermint bark
  8. - Whipped cream For serving
  9. - Chopped peppermint bark For garnish
  10. 5 - Candy canes

Directions:

1. In a saucepan, combine sugar, cocoa and salt. Add water; bring to a boil. Cook and stir for 2 minutes.
2. Stir in milk and heat over medium heat; don't boil. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla extract. Whisk until frothy.
3. Place a piece of peppermint bark in the bottom of a mug. Pour hot chocolate over bark.
4. Garnish w/ whipped cram and chopped peppermint bark. Add a candy cane on the side. Serve immediately.
