Pepper Steak

Ingredients:

  1. 1 1/2 pounds - round steak cut in strips
  2. 1/4 cups - oil
  3. 1/8 teaspoons - garlic powder
  4. 1/3 cups - chopped onion
  5. 1 - green pepper sliced
  6. 1 pounds - can pureed tomatoes
  7. 2 - beef bouillon cubes
  8. 1 tablespoons - Cornstarch
  9. 2 tablespoons - water
  10. 2 tablespoons - soy sauce
  11. 1 teaspoons - sugar
  12. 1/2 teaspoons - salt
  13. - Cooked Rice

Directions:

Sprinkle garlic on beef and then brown in oil. Remove meat once browned. Add onion & green pepper and saute 2 min. Return meat to skillet with tomatoes, and bouillon cubes. Simmer for several hours (2-3) for tenderness.
Blend cornstarch, water, soy sauce, sugar, and salt. Add to meat and cook, stirring constantly until thickened. Reduce heat and cook 2 minutes more.
Serve with rice or cheddar noodles.
