Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 pounds - round steak cut into thin strips
- - seasoning - 1-2 pinches each garlic powder, cayenne, paprika, pepper, Tony's,etc.
- 3 cloves - garlic (OR 2 tsp. minced garlic) crushed
- 2 tablespoons - olive oil
- 1 cups - chopped green onions
- 1 1/2 - bell pepper cut in strips (frozen pepper stir-fry substitute)
- 1 cans - petite cut tomatoes
- 1 cups - beef broth
- 1/2 cups - water
- 2 tablespoons - cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons - soy sauce
- - cooked rice for serving with
Directions:
1. Season steak and allow to stand while preparing other ingredients.
2. Melt butter (or heat oil) in large skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak and saute until browned.
3. Add garlic and saute until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Add green onions and bell pepper and saute until tender.
4. Stir in canned tomatoes and beef broth, then bring to a boil.
5. Cover and reduce heat to low and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.
6. Meanwhile combine water, cornstarch and soy sauce in a small bowl. Stir into skillet and cook until thickened.
7. Serve over rice.
